Cowardly Rudy Can't Even Take a Stand on the Confederate Flag

How does "America's Mayor" feel about flying the Confederate battle flag on state property?
“One of the great beauties of the kind of government we have, which is a national/federal government, is that we can make — on a broad range of issues — we can make different decisions in different parts of the country,” Mr. Giuliani said. “We have different sensitivities, and at different times we are going to come to different decisions, and I think that is best left up to the states.” (Link)

He can't even bring himself to say whether or not he finds it offensive. C'mon Rudy, take a stand.

Rudy Giuliani on Gun Licensing

Attention: Wayne LaPierre - Has your head exploded yet?

"But he said the idea doesn’t go far enough, and urged that owning a handgun be subject to the same scrutiny as operating a car: applicants should pass a written and a physical test, should be subject to a waiting period and a background check, and should be required to have liability insurance." (Link)

It's very important to note that Giuliani's gun licensing plan doesn't apply to just handguns, but to rifles as well:

"Should both handgun and rifle owners be licensed...we’re talking about all dangerous weapons."
Source: Boston Globe, p. A4 Mar 21, 2000 (

So Rudy wants to make gun owners take a written exam, a physical test of some sort AND purchase liability insurance? Hello... Republican voters... anybody home? Can you really support Rudy Giuliani and his gun control agenda?

Rudy Giuliani: Hypocritical Draft Dodger

It's one thing to dodge a military draft while at the same time many of your contemporaries are being drafted and sent overseas to fight a war. It's another thing completely to dodge the draft and then later work to prosecute your fellow draft dodgers. ***This information originates from a report written by Rudy Giuliani's own paid consultants.

The memo also reported the "charge" that "Giuliani received special treatment from a friendly federal judge to avoid military service during the Vietnam War," and later "hypocritically prosecuted draft dodgers." (Link)

Firefighters Have No Love For Rudy Giuliani

How the REAL Heroes of 9/11 feel about the false hero of 9/11.

How Would You Tell Your Wife...

... that you want a divorce?

Would you exhibit some courage and tell her face to face?
...or...
Would you call a press conference at City Hall and announce it to the world, along with your wife and children?
Giuliani began dating his third (and current) wife, Judith Nathan, while still married to his second wife, Donna Hanover. Ms. Hanover found out her marriage was ending when her soon to be ex-husband announced the separation during a press conference.

Conservatives Should LOVE This

It seems that the law firm owned by "America's Mayor" Rudy Giuliani, is a lobbyist for none other than Hugo Chavez and his Venezuelan-owned Citgo Petroleum. The very same Hugo Chavez who has called G.W. Bush a "devil" as well as a "killer, a genocidal murderer and a madman".

How can it be that the darling of the Republican party and "Hero of 9/11" would take money to represent someone who just loves to jab his finger in the eye of the republican President of the United States?

March 14 (Bloomberg) -- Rudolph Giuliani's law firm lobbies for Citgo Petroleum Corp., a unit of the state-owned oil company controlled by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, the U.S.'s chief antagonist in the Western Hemisphere. (Link)

So I really have to ask this of those on the right, just how do you feel about Rudy Giuliani lobbying for Hugo Chavez and representing Citgo's political interests here in the U.S.? Your comments are welcome.

Myth: Rudy responsible for low NYC crime rates

When it comes to crime reduction in New York City, about the only thing Rudy Giuliani can take credit for is the hiring of William Bratton as Police Commissioner. Upon his hiring in 1994, Bratton devised and instituted the "Compstat" crime tracking system that allowed NYPD officers to pinpoint where crimes are happening and deploy strategies to combat crime in areas with rising crime. Bratton also decentralized decision making and placed more responsibility at the precinct level where those most familiar with the individual precinct could better create strategies that would work within that precinct. It was Bratton, not Giuliani, that was responsible for the dramatic decrease in crime in New York City.

In 1996, after a personal conflicts reportedly developed, Bratton resigned as Commissioner of the NYPD. Was Rudy Giuliani jealous of Bratton's success and decided to push Bratton out? Bratton's success led to a case study performed by a professor at Harvard Business School and many business schools use Bratton's tactics and success to teach their students organizational design and change. Police departments across the nation have adopted Bratton's Compstat program to successfuly fight crime. Rudy gets the credit, Bratton deserves it.

"Bratton's Compstat program singlehandedly used technology to change the face of crime fighting and the effectiveness of not just one police department, but hundreds," says Eli Silverman, a professor at the City University of New York's John Jay College of Criminal Justice. (Link)

Rudy Giuliani in Drag Molested by Donald Trump

Hello middle America.

Hello Rudy

In his campaign to win the Republican Presidential nomination for 2008, Rudy Giuliani is portraying himself as a down-home, god-fearing conservative Republican. Sadly, many on the right who don't know any better are falling for this scam. Fortunately, however, many of us New Yorkers have had to deal with Rudy's fascist, bullying ways long enough and know just what the real Rudy Giuliani stands for.

Rudy is fully capitalizing on the fame that comes his way as a result of the horrific terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. He's been called "America's Mayor" and the "Hero of 9/11" and is taking advantage of the deaths of thousands of Americans in order to win the Presidency. However, New York City Firefighters, the real heroes of 9/11, know Rudy very well and are not being silent about their feelings towards him. Here is a link to a letter written by the leadership of the International Association of Fire Fighters. Sorry Rudy, but there is also plenty of evidence besides this letter that calls into question your hero status and decision making on that terrible September day in 2001. We'll get more into that in future blog entries.

Would a true conservative Republican support abortion rights? Rudy does. He not only supports federal funding of abortions, but he also strongly opposes a ban on partial-birth abortions.

Giuliani also is a supporter of gay rights. He backs legislation providing civil unions for gay couples. Rudy's own words: "...I’m pro-gay rights,”. To this I say bravo, however, would those on the right feel the same way?

Rudy supports stringent gun control and would prefer to take the guns out of the hands of law-abiding Americans. Wayne LaPierre, are you locked and loaded yet?

By now, I'm hoping that I've made my case against Rudolph Giuliani the conservative Republican. If not, then let's talk about Rudy's carefree attitude towards what many conservatives consider sacred, marriage. At last count, he has been married three times (once to his cousin). While still married to his second wife, he carried on an affair with another woman who was soon to become wifey number three. Not only did Rudy have the affair, but he had the nerve to bring his mistress under the same roof where he was living with his wife and children.

The notion of Rudy Giuliani being a conservative Republican is a scam. It is a charade being played by an egotistical, power hungry politician and his advisors all in order to be elected as President of the United States. I hope you'll join me and read future entries that blow up this image of Rudy.
